This year’s Scottish Glass Society (SGS) annual exhibition theme of CONNECTIONS

Connections invites glass artists to explore how people, places, and materials interrelate. Consider connections that are physical (structures, joints, seams), social (community, culture, migration), ecological (habitat, cycles, repair), historical (craft lineages, local industry), or experiential (memory, touch, light). We welcome works that reveal the intertwined nature of process and concept—how heat, gravity, chemistry, and chance connect to meaning. Collaborative and cross‑disciplinary submissions are encouraged.

We hope the exhibition will contain as wide a range of glassmaking techniques as possible. We challenge glass practitioners to create glass art works that reveal the layers of difficulty, technique, patience, and precision involved in our craft.

The exhibition is open to all SGS Members. You are invited to submit up to 3 works of art in any form of glass. Glass must make up at least 50% of the exhibit.

More information at to follow shortly.

We look forward to receiving your entries.
