The Glass Art Society is taking its 2020 conference online after cancelling the event due to be held in Sweden due to the global pandemic, and The Scottish Glass Society is delighted to be part of the virtual event.
We will be hosting two sets of online talks featuring artist discussing work they exhibited at our 40th Anniversary exhibition: On the Edge. Take a guided tour of their processes, inspirations and ideas behind each piece with the opportunity to put your questions to the artists in a Q&A session following the talks.
Inge Panneels, Carolyn Basing, Jessamy Kelly, Cathryn Shilling, Gregory Alliss, Alison Kinnaird, Pinkie Maclure and Laura Turner will present eith short-form 20:20 talks over the two evenings, providing a glimpse into the inner workings of the pieces shown at On the Edge.
We are grateful to the Creative Scotland Open Project Fund for their support for these talks.
The sessions will run at 7.30pm UK time (11.30am PDT) on Thursday 21st and Friday 22nd May 2020. It’s free to attend but booking is essential.
