Profile

Isaksson creates contemporary hand-blown glass that captivate with their elegance and tactile forms. Her designs are often simple but tactile using subtle colour palettes, with a deep appreciation for the beauty of the material.  Her work is heavily influenced by her Scandinavian heritage and early glass education.

Isaksson initially trained in the glass blowing technique at Orrefors Glass School, situated in the ‘Kingdom of Glass’, in south of Sweden.

After graduating from her MA in Design & Applied Arts at Edinburgh College of Art, she further trained with glass artist Rudy Gritch in Italy and at Northlands Glass Centre, with master glass blowers, Dante Marioni and Simon Moore.

Isaksson set up her own glass blowing workshop in 2010 and is currently based in Dunblane, her work is stocked in many galleries nationwide and she has previously shown at Collect, British Glass Biennale and Future Icons, during London Craft week.

She offers a bespoke service for interior designers and private collectors, previous commissions include trophies for The Chancellor’s Award, a bespoke light installation for Abrdn and recently she was chosen to make the exclusive Scottish Album of the Year Awards in 2024. Last year she was also selected into the Homo Faber guide by the Michelangelo Foundation, showcasing her excellence in glass craftmanship.
