Profile

I am a kiln-formed glass artist whose practice centres on colour and pattern, working across wearable, functional and decorative forms.

My Mould Juice series, first shown at the Annual Scottish Glass Society (SGS) Exhibition 2023, was inspired by the Scottish physician-scientist Alexander Fleming. Using silver and reactive glasses, I created halo-like effects that echo the appearance of mould, reinterpreted through colour, pattern and depth. The work was well received, featured in Art Mag, and developed into drop-out vases exhibited at the SGS Exhibition 2024, where they sold at preview.

In September 2024, I was awarded the SGS Hamilton Taylor Award. This supported further study with kiln-formed glass artist Amanda Simmons in Castle Douglas, where I refined my cold-working techniques and expanded my use of glass powders. This has led to a new body of work exploring lightweight powder vessels.

Recent exhibitions include Thread That Pulls (December 2025) at the Royal Scottish Academy, Edinburgh, where my piece Peacock was sold, and Future Folklore at the Maclaurin Art Gallery.

Alongside my glass practice, I work as a Consultant Oncoplastic Breast Surgeon.
