Cost: £560 per month.
Application deadlines: Applications are assessed on an ongoing basis however the last deadline for this opportunity is 5pm on 28th of June 2015, with some places already booked so don’t hold back!
The programme follows the calendar month, starting generally on the first Monday and running for four weeks. Artists must be in residence for a least one month. The residency is self-led, with opportunities for peer-to-peer exchange through working in an open plan studio and shared living accommodation.
This programme is open to artists working in any medium, but proposals should demonstrate how the location and/or facilities of SSW will benefit their work. The programme costs £560 per month, to be paid by the artist. Materials and consumables are subject to further charges. Access to all areas, including the foundry, technical support and studio space are provided, alongside self-catering accommodation. Artists are asked to participate in the SSW community while in residency, and to give a presentation of their work. SSW also encourages artist-led activity with SSW or local residents.
