Hot Glass Residencies – Summer 2015 GlazenHuis

GlazenHuis ‒ Lommel ‒ Belgium.

This summer the glass center GlazenHuis will be organizing two short residencies for hot glass. We would like to invite talented and experienced glassblowers to our glass studio in Lommel (Belgium) to research and experiment with the focus on the creation of new work.

Offer: During 6 days you will have full access to the hot studio and you will be able to rely on a resident assistant glassblower. Next to free lodging ‒ including a rich breakfast ‒ you will receive €200.00 to pay for food expenses. Transport costs will be covered up to €300.00. In return we kindly ask you to donate one excellent work of art as a contribution to the city’s contemporary glass collection and a series of 10 smaller glass objects that we can use to donate to our sponsors. You are free to pack and ship back all other works, or both parties may consider selling works in the museum gallery shop on a 1/1 commission basis.
