Exhibit with Craft Scotland at SOFA Chicago 2015

SOFA Chicago was established in 1994 and has run annually since with more than 60 exhibiting galleries taking part from over ten different countries. An estimated 35,000 collectors, curators, architects, interior designers, art advisors and new enthusiasts attend the Chicago exposition annually. SOFA Chicago is presented by Urban Expositions at Navy Pier’s Festival Hall in Chicago. This year’s show will be held from Friday 06 November to Sunday 08 November, with the Opening Night Preview on Thursday 05 November. The exposition also features an acclaimed Lecture Series and educational Special Exhibits.

We have been selected to exhibit for 2015, and plan to showcase the work of approximately twelve makers. SOFA exhibitors are expected to present museum-quality, one-of-a-kind sculpture, objects and functional art, all for sale. We are looking for makers whose work would be suitable for an audience of American collectors and buyers.

This opportunity offers Scottish-based makers the chance to exhibit and sell their work at a high profile event. One of the makers attending the show in 2014 summed up their experience:

“Exhibiting at SOFA is the time to dig deep and make the strong, confident work. One of the most important aspects of being selected is that it will push your work onto another level, the prestige and exposure will force new, exciting dimensions to be realised. This will in turn elevate your practice and benefit your reputation for years to come.”
