ART AND DESIGN/ ART GLASS HNC Overview:
In this challenging course, you will take part in an exciting and comprehensive programme of design and specialist Art Glass studies. The course is project-based, and you’ll be concentrating on designing, exploring and making, drawing and personal expression.
The course could provide you with a variety of work suitable for a portfolio with an emphasis on Art Glass.
Although we teach making skills on the course, it’s an advantage to have experience in working in 2D and 3D and also making skills in different media.
This course offers you a broad education with a balance between creative, practical and core skills.
You’ll work in two and three dimensions, learning contemporary warm glass techniques like slumping and fusing and traditional skills like painting and lead work, as well as more advanced glass surface applications.
