Profile

I am a stained glass maker from Scotland, currently
based in Edinburgh where I make both original and
bespoke commissioned artworks in glass. I am
fascinated by the ‘numinous’ – the
awe-inspiring essence of the spiritual experience, as described by Rudolf Otto – which
an enveloping intense stained glass light and colour can inspire. My
work is focussed around cavernous spaces such as
cathedrals, caves and mountains and my attempts to
recreate the experience of being within them.
